Palm Pilot Upgrades

I wish I had known about this when I first got my Clie, because it would have been the first thing I would have done with it. This would cost me $109 (plus return shipping), but it's probably worth it for power users. It costs even less for older Palms, so it's a viable option for folks that are perfectly happy with the PDA they bought a year or two ago but who would like more memory.

Rudenko can upgrade most Palms and even some PocketPCs.

Be sure to listen closely; the first option is only for a two-year period. Wait for the third option, which opts you out forever.

You should receive paperwork in the mail confirming your instructions less than one week after making the call."

Of course, now I'm going to try and find out where Dean saw this, write to the paper, and watch for a clarification. At least I can correct my blog in real time!

Worst Halloween Costumes Ever

The sad thing is that I remember most of these! I loved The Electric Company, but can you imagine the flap there would be over a Village People costume these days?

One of my great regrets is that my kids won't have the experience of dressing up in these poncho costumes (at night!) and donning the masks that prevented breathing. A rite of passage that, sadly, no longer exists. *sigh*

I am now subscribed to 37 news sources.  I add about one new source a week.  Each of these is easily capable of delivering at least one or two items each day that are really interesting to me.  That I want to talk about.  But I cannot absorb this quanitity of new information even on a good day.  There is no time to reflect, to mull, to doze on it.

So I have resolved that I don't care.

I won't cope.

I'll let good stuff go by the wayside.

Other people will find it.

Google will keep track of it.

It's all their when the time comes.

I'm not Atlas to the internet.

Even to my own small chunk of it.

This is a difficult thing to accept, especially when you have an aggregator that pulls everything in for you. I hit this stage a few months ago, but it's especially daunting when you go out of town (or injure your back!).

And that's what it is - a stage. I think there are stages to blogging. Excitement, Fun, Overwhelmed, Panicked, Acceptance, and then the cycle starts anew. Are there "12 steps of blogging?"
