Stealing Searcher

While stopping by ILL to talk to Kate for a moment, I saw the new issue of Searcher sitting on her desk (October 2003). It's the "All-Technology Issue," so I stole it for my weekend reading (shhh - don't tell her). Highlights that I will get to this weekend include:

  • "Cell Phone Reference" by Irene E. McDermott (p.8)
  • "Information-Hiding Technology" by Denise Hamilton (p.14)
  • "Social Software" by Stephen Arnold (p.30, mentions blogs)
  • "Kick the Google Habit" by Nisa Asokan (p.48)
  • "Angst and the Art of Computer Maintenance" by Richard Kaser (p.50, about iTunes and "upgrade fever")

This issue isn't on the web yet so I can't say which articles are available as full-text online, but it should appear at http://www.infotoday.com/searcher/oct03/index.shtml any day now.
