The Visual Entertainment Generator. We recently upgraded our monitor here at Gizmodo HQ, from a 15-inch LCD made by KD5 to Samsung's 17-inch widescreen LCD, the SyncMaster 172W, which we love. But that leaves us with the old monitor, which has just been sitting around the house while we decide what to do with it. We think we may have come upon a solution: the Visual Entertainment Generator from RTV, a little box with a TV tuner that makes it possible to turn pretty much any computer monitor into a TV, or hook a DVD player or a video game console to it.
